Tree cutting cost in Nunavut
Compare the scope of a tree job, use the CAD budget model and browse 31 census subdivisions in Nunavut.
What might your tree removal cost?
Adjust the job. See the assumptions. No contact details needed.
One tree, before tax. Not a measured local average.
How this estimate is calculated ↗A useful estimate starts with a clear scope
There is no single price for tree cutting. This calculator models one routine tree removal using height, access and nearby structures. Its base assumptions are CAD $300–700 up to 6 m, $700–1,500 up to 12 m, $1,400–3,000 up to 20 m and $2,500–5,000 above 20 m. These are editorial scenario inputs, not surveyed city averages.
Restricted access and nearby structures can increase the model result. Stump grinding, hauling and your own quoted extras are separate. Permits, specialist equipment, tax and restoration are not included unless you explicitly account for them. A contractor must confirm the actual scope and price.
Power-line involvement, unstable trees and urgent danger require a qualified assessment. The calculator stops automatic pricing when you select a hazard. It is a budgeting aid, not a tree-risk assessment or instructions for cutting.

A geographic directory is not a claim of tree-service demand
Nunavut entries are included for complete statistical coverage. Many locations are beyond the tree line; routine residential tree removal may be irrelevant. This directory does not imply that local trees, contractors or a removal market exist.
If you have a specific planted tree or another applicable project, describe the actual work to a qualified provider and confirm land authority and logistics. Use a project-specific quote rather than a generic residential tree-removal budget.

What to include in your request
Ask for removal, wood handling, hauling, stump work and cleanup as separate line items. Describe access and nearby structures. Ask who handles permission and whether the written total includes tax.
Verify the provider’s identity, credentials, insurance and applicable worker coverage. Ask how changes to the scope will be approved and how your property will be protected. A calculator cannot perform those checks for you.
Questions before you book
Is this a local average price?
No. This release uses a transparent illustrative model, not a dataset of completed local jobs. The result is a planning range and must be checked against written site-specific quotes.
Does tree removal include stump grinding?
Not necessarily. Ask for stump grinding, depth, chip removal and restoration in writing. The calculator keeps its illustrative stump allowance separate.
Can a permit change the budget?
Yes. Where required, application work, reports, fees and replacement planting can add costs. Check the responsible authority; the calculator does not invent a local permit fee.
Can I use a nearby city’s price?
Use it only as context. Access, job scope, travel and provider availability can differ. Proximity links are geographic references, not confirmation of service coverage.
